Printer Ink Hits $8,000 per Gallon
And produces an antitrust lawsuit. A man has filed a class-action lawsuit alleging HP and retailer Staples colluded to raise the price of printer ink cartridges in violation of federal antitrust law. According to the suit, HP reportedly paid Staples over $100 million to refrain from selling cheaper third-party ink cartridges.
